Learn about Dr. Sun Yat Sen and Wan Qing Yuan through games and quizzes
26 May, 11am
Limited to 30 participants; conducted in English
Recommended for children aged 8 to 12 years old

Check out the history of Wan Qing Yuan and learn about the stories behind the man who changed China (Dr. Sun Yat Sen) through games and quizzes. Hosted and organized by local tertiary students for the younger kids from 8-12 years of age, worksheets and activity booklets will be given to each participant with prizes to be won for the correct answers. Participants are also encouraged to explore around the memorial hall and have fun learning about modern Chinese history through hands-on learning and interactive multimedia. Parents are also welcomed to participate in the games and quizzes with their kids, not forgetting to use the opportunity to check out the various artefacts in the galleries of Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall.
Children’s Outdoor Water-colour Painting Competition at Wan Qing Yuan

Limited to 50 participants
Recommended for children aged 4 to 7 years old

Draw and paint your own impression of Wan Qing Yuan in water-colour to win attractive prizes. Participants (4-7 years old) are encouraged to use their creativity in their drawings and explore our galleries for inspiration too!
Creative hands-on storytelling workshop at Wan Qing Yuan

Mr Tan Lai Huat and Mr Lee Leng Kok

Speaker's Bio
Mr Tan Lai Huat is the founder of Selat Heritage Centre and a reputable local collector who has actively worked with various local and overseas organisations to curate exhibitions on topics related to the Chinese community in Singapore.

Mr Lee Leng Kok is an enthusiast of old songs, he is among the founding members of Kreta Ayer Oldies Club and established the Ancient Sound Restore to provide high end audio restoration of old vinyl records.

This talk is free and will be conducted in Mandarin.
Seats are available on a first-come first-served basis.

Valuing Childhood: Right from the Start!

Draw and mark your memories of childhood at the Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall from April 21 till the end of May and share your favourite childhood experiences together with your children. Children and adults are invited to share their artwork which can be displayed on site on the Playeum Cubes™.
